LEMCO brings a holistic approach to our projects. This means that we provide services that facilitate for the needs of a sustainable development project from start to finish. Beginning with feasibility, and progressing with market studies, training, conflict management, tourism development, food security branding, and financial delivery models. Throughout these processes, local indigenous communities are involved, adding to the all-encompassing nature of LEMCOs project management approach.
With regards to training, LEMCO will implement long-term focussed training provisions for indigenous communities. This will involve education on family planning and behaviour, work ethic, and specific work related skills. The combination of the training provided will allow for workers and communities as a whole, to assist in the running of sustainable developments.
LEMCO will ensure the feasibility of all projects. This will involve addressing community infrastructure issues, to ensure that all considerations that are needed to support and grow the project are implemented. Importantly, communication services, energy systems, transport, food security and health facilities are all monitored and reported on.
Branding of products will be in conjunction with the sustainable principles of LEMCO. This is to ensure that exposure and return on products is guaranteed, for the benefit of the company and indigenous communities. Focus will be placed on ensuring that the public is aware that the relevant indigenous communities own a 25% stake in the company.
Market studies will demonstrate that LEMCO acknowledges our position within each individual market we enter. Studies are conducted comprehensively to ensure the needs of the target market are met adequately.
LEMCO acknowledges conflict management within the development process. There are a number of challenges associated with community development, most prominently the unequal distribution of benefits or say in development goals. To combat this, we encourage a participatory process throughout all planning processes as part of our pro-active conflict management approach.
Tourism development is facilitated by LEMCO. There are a number of opportunities to develop tourism through the construction of facilities such as an eco-resort, golf course and redevelopment of airfields. These projects deliver by generating revenue, supporting opportunities and employment.
LEMCO activities will promote food security in the regions where development is taking place. We will ensure that there is sufficient, safe and nutritious food to meet the needs of indigenous communities. Our approach will focus on generating availability for all, providing easy access, developing the utilisation of food resources and ensuring the stability of food.
The financial delivery model will be aligned with the needs of LEMCO. This involves considerations such as the evaluation of our business strategy, the span of our control and a location assessment. Value-added analysis is conducted and results in the financial delivery model best suited to achieving our goal outcome.
Hence, LEMCO is involved in the entire process of development, acting to facilitate the lifecycle of activities.
